Declare Rootly incidents from Zendesk

Connect support agents to Rootly with a view of recent and related incidents inside Zendesk.

Data Handling & Privacy

This app transmits the following data to Rootly's servers:

  • Zendesk ticket ID and URL — used to link tickets to Rootly incidents
  • Agent name and email — used to attribute incident actions to the correct user

No ticket content, customer PII, or attachment data is sent to Rootly. All communication occurs over HTTPS using a secure API key stored in Zendesk's encrypted settings. Data is processed and stored in accordance with Rootly's privacy policy.

Getting Started

  1. First generate a Rootly API key by going to User Settings → API Keys.
  2. Click the Install button above (on this page) to install the Rootly app in your Zendesk account.

  3. Enter your Rootly API key generated in step 1 in the API key field.

  4. Navigate to a support ticket and view the Rootly app in the sidebar. If you're asked to install the integration please do so.
