About this app
Your customer's ShipStation orders on the ticket, matched by their email address, with tracking links, holds, tags, notes and address fixes. Twinewell shows the orders a customer placed next to their ticket: items, totals, store, status, ship-by date, ship-to address and every shipment with a link to the carrier's tracking page. Agents you allow can hold an order, release a hold, tag it, add an internal note or fix the ship-to address before it ships, and every action is written to the ticket as an internal note. It won't show you every order placed by a Michael.
Twinewell is built by Great Work LLC. It is not made or endorsed by Zendesk or ShipStation. ShipStation is a trademark of its owner.
The right customer's orders, every time
- Matched by email, exactly. Twinewell searches by the customer's name and any order numbers in the ticket, then keeps only orders whose email is on their Zendesk profile. Other customers with the same name stay hidden.
- Each order in full: items with SKUs, totals, dates, ship-by date, store, chosen service, ship-to address, the customer's note, gift message and internal notes.
- Tracking you can click: every label with its carrier, service and ship date, linked to the carrier's own tracking page. Voided and return labels are marked.
- Insert status in reply adds the order's status and tracking links to your reply in one click.
- Several stores and accounts: map each Zendesk brand to its stores.
No match? Look up an order number, a tracking number or a full name from the sidebar.
Hand actions, confirmed and logged
- Hold until a date and release a hold.
- Add an order tag or an internal note (dated, below the existing notes, never written over them).
- Fix the ship-to address before a label is made, with the old address kept in the order's notes.
- Cancel in ShipStation (off until an admin turns it on). It doesn't cancel or refund the order in your store.
Every action shows a confirmation first. Twinewell reads the order again right before sending and refuses if someone changed it meanwhile, so an action is never sent twice.
- You decide who may act: admins only by default, or agents, custom roles or groups you list.
- Each action adds an internal note and a tag (such as
twinewell_hold) to the ticket for views and reports.
When it says "disconnected", it says why
When ShipStation refuses the plan or an expired key, the sidebar says which one and how to fix it.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't create, buy or void labels, mark orders as shipped, or refund payments. Those stay in ShipStation and your store.
ShipStation's API can't search orders by email, so customers whose Zendesk name differs from the name on their orders are found by order number or the lookup box.
It changes open orders only, and not merged or split orders.
Plan (billed monthly by Zendesk)
Standard: $9 per agent per month. Every feature is included. 14-day trial; Zendesk asks for a card at install and billing starts when the trial ends unless you uninstall. ShipStation's API needs a ShipStation Standard or Accelerate plan or higher, billed by ShipStation.
Your data
Your API key and secret are stored as Zendesk secure settings. They never reach agents' browsers: Zendesk adds them to each request on the way to ShipStation, and only to ssapi.shipstation.com. Twinewell has no Great Work server, keeps no copy of your ShipStation or Zendesk data, has no export, sends nothing to Great Work or anyone else (not even usage statistics), does no background work and uses no AI. Nothing to install in ShipStation.
Made by Great Work, a small software company. Questions go to hello@greatwork.company and a person replies within one business day. (We're the ones with the duck.)
應用程式詳情
如何安裝
- In ShipStation, check that your account is on the Standard or Accelerate plan or higher: ShipStation only offers API access on those plans, and lower plans answer every request with HTTP 402.
- In ShipStation, go to Settings > Account > API Settings. Generate API keys if there are none, and copy the API Key and the API Secret (for V1 API keys). ShipStation API keys expire; ShipStation emails you before they do, and you paste the new pair into Twinewell when you rotate them.
Install Twinewell from the Zendesk Marketplace and choose the Standard plan. The 14-day trial starts now; Zendesk asks for a card and starts billing when the trial ends unless you uninstall.
- Paste the key into API key and the secret into API secret. Zendesk stores both as secure settings: agents never see them and Zendesk only sends them to ssapi.shipstation.com. Set Currency if your ShipStation orders are not in US dollars (ShipStation's API doesn't say which currency an order is in).
- Optional, several stores in one ShipStation account: in Account brands list the Zendesk brand ids that open this account, and in Stores per brand map a brand to its ShipStation store ids, like
360001: 12345; 360002: 22222, 22223. To find the store ids, open any ticket as an admin: Twinewell lists the account's stores with their ids under Stores and ids at the bottom of the sidebar. - Optional, a second ShipStation account: fill in Account name (account 2) and its own key, secret, currency and brands.
- Choose Who may take actions:
admin(the default),agentfor everyone, custom role ids, orgroup:<id>for groups, separated by commas. Switch each action type on or off. Allow cancelling is off until you turn it on. Open a ticket from a customer. Twinewell shows their orders in the sidebar. Actions write an internal note on the ticket.
If the sidebar says ShipStation did not accept the key, generate a new key and secret in ShipStation and paste both. If it says HTTP 402, the ShipStation account's plan does not include API access. The setup guide at https://greatwork.company/apps/twinewell-for-shipstation/docs has more.
Twinewell creates nothing in your Zendesk account and installs nothing in ShipStation. It adds internal notes and twinewell_* tags to tickets, and dated lines to ShipStation order notes, only when an agent takes an action; they stay if you uninstall. Uninstalling deletes the stored key and secret; you can also regenerate the keys in ShipStation.
